I had to switch mirrors due to the fact my elbows are in the way after changing bars....got some covers fro HD which are kuryacan and went to put them on ....they suck they don't fit the shape of the inner fairing and they rely on stick on instead of something to pull them tight...what hav you folks done to cover holes?? another question ...one of the inserts that the screws screw into in the fairing....one of the three that hold the windshield tight pulled out last night and it doesn't want to go al the way back in.... which isn't a big deal but can I glue it back in with superglue? no reason why not huh? thanks
i put the bagga chips on....expensive for waht they are, but like he says, they look pretty nice...meaning they don't look like a giant peice of sh!+ stapled over a hole.
The insert is replaceable with a screw in one.
They are like $1.50 at the dealership. They will stay in unlike the OE ones that are pressed in.
I have those Kuryakyn covers and thank gawd my hands are just perfect I don't have to see them while going down the road.
You can get some "Plastic Fender Washers" at Lowes that work pretty well.
get the ones big enough for one to cover all the holes looks the best.
You can tighten them with a regular nut on the inside even though they are a puch in type plug.
The nut will draw up the plastic.
You can see it here:
