All last winter I rode in temps down to around 28F or so and found these gloves to be warm andcomfortableat 80 mph even in the wind!

TourMaster "Polar-Tex" (around $50) - they're Thinsulate lined, waterproof and yet breath and still give you reasonable agility with your hands.

alot depends on what you want your gloves to do?? If you want the best warmth out there then get Gerbings heated gloves... I got these because they are not only warm, they are about the best when it comes to keeping the rain out... read the review, I was sold..

I have the lined deerskin gaunlets from Fox Creek and I like them a lot and they were only $39. They aren't near as nice as the PCI gloves that petemac was talking about, but they are only $39, and are good for about the same temperature range as the PCI gloves. I bought a pair of neoprene dry gloves from a dive shop and wear them underneath if it gets into the 20s or 30s and my hands are finet then.

A couple of good places to find product ratings.

I have four pair I carry around in my saddlebags in winter: Gerbing heated (heavyweight), Olympia (medium weight), No-name lightweight (deerskin), and HD perforated (summer mostly). All are leather. I use the Olympia the most in winter and they are an excellent compromise between insulation and bulk. Not sure about the model, but they have "Kevlar" written across the back of each hand. I don't see them on the Olympia site either, so they probably aren't available any longer.

I have a pair of HD heavyweights (Thinsulate, water resistent, etc.) that I'll be putting on Ebay soon, if you're interested. I quit using them when I bought the Gerbings.
