I have run striaght and baffled on mine. When you install the baffles you will be happy and it will have the RAP sound that you are longing for at high RPM shifting.
The baffles are an easy install and removal and I take mine out at local rallies just to increase my adrenaline. haha
Do you have the 1 7/8" or 2 1/4" system? I heard the 2 1/4" system is deeper sounding. I just put in the 10" baffles and now its super quite with no exh. Rap between shifts...
Just the thread I was looking for... I plan on getting some fishtails on mine before too long but was scared to get them and have to deal with it being stupid loud. Do you think the baffles are going to kill the power? I'm guess the back pressure might help a bit with torque..
Samson's by far are the better of quality I've seen out there compared to others. They are really loud without baffles and pretty damn quite with baffles. I'm working on some sort of solution for that happy medium... as soon as I figure it out I'll keep you updated here.
