Anyone know where I can buy Redline Gear Lube locally?? I don't want to buy it online. With shipping it is'nt worth it. Do any of the major auto parts stores sell it?? By the way, I live in CT so anyone that knows of any bike shops that sell it let me know.
I have had the same problem and used Redline's web page http://www.redlineoil.com/dealers.aspand if this dosen't work call them at: (707) 745-6100 or (800) 624-7958. Some of their dealers like Autozone do not handle all of their products in the store but can order any you request.
Man, life is wierd sometimes. I've been looking for a bottle for a month since the only shop I know that sold it went out of business in Raynham, MA(V-Twin performance). Then I'm drivin by that place on my way home TODAY and I see an old friend standing out front of the place. I pull over and lo and behold this friend bought the place with a partner last week and are just starting it up again. So we get to talkin and I tell him the last owner was the only guy I knew on the south shore of boston who carried the stuff. He says, "lets look out back in the shop, he might have left some here". We go out back and sure enough there was ONE bottle left on a shelf. WOO-HOO, grabbed it and gave him $15.00 for it. That stuffs great. Now I'm good for another year. Check with hot-rod shops, they sometimes carry it too.....Joe Mac
If your putting it in a 07 tranny, several guys have tested the most popular lubes and found mobil 1 75/90 full syn. and amsoil full syn.75/90 worked better at reducing the 5th gear whine than the redline heavy shockproof which is the same viscosity.
