I'm not sure exactly what to look for in the VIN. Take the number and have the DMV or Harley run it for you and see if it comes up as a CVO model.
One other option is to look at the title. Maybe it's identified as a CVO on the title.
If it doesn't come back as a CVO model, then it's just a standard bike with some SE parts on it.

If you could provide the forum with a year & model many here would know what to tell you. A picture would be even better.
SE's usually have unique paint combos, tons of chrome and custom seats.
Screamin Eagle is also the name of HDs performance line of parts. Just beause the air cleaner cover says SE that doesnt mean the whole bike is a SE model.

There are very specific differences in each one of the CVO models. Take the year and model of CVO you're researching and do a search on it. That will help. Each year had specific colors, options, engines, etc... NOT that these things cannot be duplicated, but many parts are "protected" by MOCO, so they aren't available for purchase. It will take some research.
The Air Cleaner / Housing means absolutely nothing..... Do not use that as a determining factor.

Just look at the title, example, my 2007 SE RK says FLHRSE3 on the title. A normal RK would just say FHLR.
The paint is also a dead give away, the paint sets are only used for one year and are very specific, but check the title anyways.
