Not for nothin', but I had my bars replaced by Helibars in 2011 when they were at Laconia and were throwing in the installation with the purchase. From the time they took the first screw out of the fairing to the time I was getting on the bike for them to adjust the bars and send me on my way was 90 min. Now granted, they didn't have to replace cables, only re-route the clutch cable, and I realize its a different bike, but damn.....even if you were to double the time it took to do mine its still 3 hours, not 8!
I just bought these Yaffe Monkey bars ......for cables and wiring Harley wants 1500 to change them....8 hours of labor plus cables. Can't be??
Can be??... if that is what they want to charge. My local HD Dealer is at 4hr flat rate ($340.00) for internal wired bars plus parts.
Changing out bars is a basic job, doesnt require any special tools . Take your time and do it your self. It will probably take you as a first time job most of the day but you can save that 1500. Or check out some of the Indy Shops in the area, Im sure that they will beat that price.
