My 07 Ultra will arrive within the next 2 weeks. One thing I can't seem to get a straight answer on at the dealers is.....Are the floorboards for the passenger adjustable and if so how much? My wife finds that the saddlebag guards cut into her leg and it would be great if the floorboards could be raised about an inch.
Yes, they can be raised. By how much I'm not sure, I think I raised mine a couple inches. You'll need a allen socked for the left one as its pretty tight in their with a wrench.
The other thing you can look at is changing the saddle bag guard. HD has another version that slopes down towards the outside of the bike and gives some more leg clearance.
On all the UltrasI have seen, there is provision to go up another notch (no cost). In addition, check out adjustable passenger footboard mounting kit 50789-99 - sells for $124.95
If you want the full meal deal, check part 50768-06 for $349.95.
look closely to where the floor board attaches to the frame,, there are little black round plugs , proby 1 over and 1 under where you are attatched now, remove plug , and move board
Thanks everyone. I thought there was adjustablitiy but one of the dealers at the Toronto Motorcycle show said no. I'll try to raise the boards before changing the bag guard but that may be step #2.
It's nice to know that it hasstarted snowing here so winter has finallyarrived. I've seen a lot of bikes on the road..as late as yesterday. Just in time for mine to arrive. Thank you weatherman!
