Since everybody is probably sick of the transmission comments, gripes, etc., I would like to ask another question. Does anyone have a definite vibration or shudder when going into 6th (at around 65-70 mph)? I go from the whine of 5th to the vibration of 6th. It is definitely worse under load. The vibration transmits up the the seat, handle bars, in my feet, everywhere. ALSO...........Checked my mileage today for the first time. For ALL HIGHWAY MILES, got 40 mpg. This is about 8 mpg WORSE than my 05 RKC (which I wish to h3%@ I hadn't gotten rid of) Thanks.....Radman51
Radman...have you had that "recall" thing done on your's yet? That helped mine alot and then do the air cleaner, pipes and PCIIIon it. Its a mustif you want the 07 to run right. I still have a little bit of 5th gear noise, but nothing like it was. I can run 6th gear at 1800 rpms without any noise and the bike pulls fine. My bike is finally starting to run like a harley is supposed to run.

I agree. If the bike is completely stock and without the download it won't like 6th gear if your much below about 2700 RPM. 1800 RPM, now that is an impressive difference.
Yea Bagger....I can run it down low and it sounds like a good ol' harley should. Now my 5th is a different story, but after the recall and and PCIII, it's so much better. I can hit 6th at lower rpms and no noise other that the good old sound of the engine strokes! It made soooo much difference in mine for sure. Money well spent. The bike actually gets some air and fuel now. I got my setup from Jamie at Fuel Moto. http://www.fuelmotousa.com/ My bike is fun to ride now for sure. I rode about 80 miles or so today messing around.
Fox and Bagger............Thanks for the replies. Yes I have had the download. My bike was a late October/early November build. Dealer checked and said the bike came with the download. I was speculating that some of this shakin' and jivin' would probably go away with true duals and a SERT, but not real happy with putting more money in the bike. Its like chasing the holy grail. Want your $22,000 bike to run like you want it to.....well then spend another $1500-2000 for starters, then see if you like it then!!! Maybe so.....Maybe not. ANY COMMENTS ON THE GAS MILEAGE? ALSO......heard of anyone going with the Baker 5th gear (6F6)?? Best to all...........Radman51
i've got almost 4000 miles on mine and my gas mileage stays pretty consistently around 44mpg. now that has a lot of town, stop and go traffic mixed in there, i have not been able to just get on the slab and go and see what kind of mileage i would get then.
oh, my bike is still stock. only had the 0903 download done.
Have an 07 Ultra, it will shake in 6th gear below about 2200 RPM (about 58-60MPH)if I am not on a flat road, I thought it was lugging. On the interstate at 65 and above it is pretty smooth, here in SE Virginia most of our roads are pretty flat. I have had the download done. My gas mileage is about 35-37MPG, mostly around town riding. Next week I have putting V&H Duals and Ovals, the SE A/C and either the fuel pak or PCIII.
