When I had my Road King I used Simple Green and washed it down immediatly. Loosned up the grime. Now I have a Black Denium Street Glide and have to use the Denium Spray Cleaner. It got it's 1st bath today. I like a clean bike and any smuge or bug has to come off.........

I'll wipe mine down after rides with some Bug Slide that I get from our dealer, or just some water and use a micro fiber towel. Every so often I'll pull the saddle bags and give it a good wash with some soap and water. Blow off the excess water and then wipe it down with a microfiber towel.

Once its showroom clean its easier to keep it that way than letting it go & trying to get her back into shape. Sounds like a weight loss speach...LOL

I will just use white terry cloth towels and Simple green. after it cools down and before you lock it down just spray on a little on to the cloth and wipe down all chrome and frame and rims too! With a white cloth you can see all the dirt your removing.
I wash it with the hose every 5000 miles at the service intervals, for me that about 3 months.

For overnighters, I just let it go, the only thing I clean daily is the windshield.
wiat till ya get home for a good cleaning

Just a quick hose wash and blow dry. I use Maguries spray on the tank and fenders. Only use a microfiber towel (Cotton towels will scratch paint and plastic). I always wipe the windshield, mirrors and fender after each ride where bugs hit. The acid from the bugs will eat up the finish. I also spray WD40 into the pipes to cut down on the rust in the boloney cuts where water settles.

Every couple of months when it is cooler in the garage, I put the bike on a lift, take off the bags, panels and really give her a once over. It is a good time to check the belt, tires and to tighten up.

That gives me time for another Captain and coke and another cigar.

You are being way to ****. I have the cleanest bike in my riding group and get kidded about it all the time.
I am ****, but I ain't spending hours cleaning my bike. I use "Cajun Shine All" and Micro Fiber Towels (lots of towels).
I only use a power washer if I've been near the beach and want to wash off the salt from the sea water.

Its much easier to clean daily. 15-20 minutes a day I can keep my bike looking showroom clean. If I went multiple days without cleaning it'd take a couple hours to get my bike where I want it.

Original Bike Spirits in the pink & black can. Wipe down after each ride & it stays clean.

+1 if I ain't riding it, I am cleaning it, give me a chance to inspect the bike and make sure nothing is loose or leaking. I have washed it every week or more since new, carnuba wax wash, micro fiber dry, use a air compressor to get the areas I don't want water, dries real quick in the socal sunshine. Keep it up with a good detailing spray. On the road, find a car wash, be gentle, no high pressure, soap setting and only use the spot free for a rinse , detail spray and she is good to go

With the amount of bugs racked up after 14-16 hours of riding, the last thing I want to do is rub them into my dry paint with a little detailer sprayed on. After most day rides, I could do that, but long trips, no way.

It's fun. Yeah, I'd rather be riding but that's not always possible. The end results are always worth it.
