I've got a jack, but she'd need me to put down the cigar and Captain/coke to help get the bikes on the jack. Besides, I kinds like watching all the bending over/squating she has to do when the bikes are not on the jack. Maybe I'm a little kinky, but it works for me.

OK, I gotta admit, that's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the picture!

My bike gets washed 1-2 times a year...mainly because I can't see through the bug guts anymore. Other than that - road gunk's a badge of riding courage so no need to wash until necessary...JMO.

My routine involves keeping a bucket with soapy water with a clean rag in it. After a couple hundred mile ride I wipe the scratchable surfaces down including windshield with a routinely washed mini duster. With the soapy rag wrung out I wipe down everything and dried with a microfiber cloth. I leave wheels for last. With another microcloth I spray orange pledge over every surface letting the polish dry. Once I get front to back polishing completed ( excluding wheels). Everything is wiped down with a clean micro cloth afterwards. Wheels/ rims are wiped down with soapy water and dried with another microcloth. Pressured spray is never used and areas beyond reach is achieced with countoured dowel rods for access. Water is replaced clean with soapy water which by the way is dawn liquid with prepackaged handlotion mixture.

It's fun. Yeah, I'd rather be riding but that's not always possible. The end results are always worth it.
Put a couple coats of Zanio on that bike and you will find that bugs don't stick to it........

My bike cleaning ritual is this, Like I said, I got a few coats of Zanio on my bike and when ever Iam home and it starts to rain, I push the bike out of the garage and soap it down.
Works for me

I just read this to my wife too. She said that she would be happy to do this. All I need to do is sweep and wash the floors, do the laundry, scrub the toilets, vacuum the carpet, etc. I get to start tomorrow.

I fill a spray bottle with a solution of Simple Green and water. I spray that on a cold bike and let it sit for a few minutes. Depending on the amount of dirt I may also use a damp cloth to help remove dirt.

Next a rinse with water using a low pressure setting on the spray nozzle.

Next I use my air compressor and dry the bike that way to help get water out of the tight places that a rag wont reach.

I use ProtectAll to polish the bike as it is a multi-surface product so I dont have to worry about what I get it on and having a different cloth to wipe / polish with.

I use the microfiber towels to polish the surfaces and windscreen.

I don't. End of problem.

I will try to clean my 10 Ultra with 22K before spring this winter. But I'm not sure it will get done.
