I had my RK seat done by mean city a few months ago. They do great work for a great price with great customer service. They got my seat in, did the work, and shipped it back the next day. They are a great company to do business with. I highly recommend them.
I am very pleased with the Mod to my stock 2008 flhrc seat buy MeanCity Cycle.
Had it narrowed and lowerd a cpl inchs and memorey foam added for comfort .
It came back looking great a few small wrinkles ,but those disapered buy the time it was broke in between 600 and a thousand miles .
Super THRIFTY way cheaper than buying a new seat .total cost INCLUDING shipping just under $150.
I shipped it there USPS with insurance $18.50 Allen shipped it back FEDX $15.
I have done several 500 mile days NP. COMFEY.
Mean City has redone 2 Road King seats for my 2004, very happy with both. One was a stock RK Custom seat and the other my Mustang Solo. Allen also worked on a seat for my old Superglide, very happy with all of his work. Make sure you're clear on what you want done, you won't regret it.
I had them do the memory foam and a heater on a stock HD seat (07 Ultra Classic) plus the back rest. They kept the same position (ie not forward or back) and I think that it helped on long rides. Now to change to Apes.
I had a stock seat from an 11 RKC modified with the "Super Narrow" mod, with memory foam, it arrived yesterday and I had it out for about 50 miles last night.
I'm told these memory foam mods need some miles to break them in, but I can already tell it will be more comfortable.
I'm 5-10, 30" inseam, and my legs are no longer forced apart when I stop, and I'm lowered a bit so now I'm perfectly flat footed. Butt seems more comfortable too.
I've got trips to Toronto and Atlanta in the next two weeks, so I should have a better idea in a couple of weeks.
They did not do my seat I had a local custom shop do mine ,lowered it 1in added gelpacks front and back pillow along with memory foam, spent 325.00 for the install ,wish I had saved my money, did nothing for me,my other option was a airhawk but Im not sure how well those workim 511 and 210lbs my suggestion is save your money
