Finally slowed down enough to make a comment on here. We have been doing lots of riding on the new bike. We have done single riding and group riding. All we can say is WOW !!! Should have bought an EG a long time ago. We are impressed with the ride, performance and mostly the fuel mileage. Around town we average about 44 MPG but when we took to the open road recently we averaged 51-53 MPG on a 500 mile round trip. The terrain varied from the flats of a desert to a climb over a 10,000 ft pass. I even got to rub in the face of some of the Goldwing riders. Our HD not only out performed them but got better fuel mileage. Shut them up in a hurry !!!!

Glad you like it. No disrespect but Im going to call BS on a 50+mpg average riding 2 up. Even on the flat terrain of FL I struggle to average 40+MPG solo. Im not afraid to hammer the throttle but still 51-53 two up seems a bit remarkable.

I call BS on shutting up any Goldwing riders, they will talk and laugh at you behind your back.

You would be surprised how much a tuner hammers your fuel mileage.
I've been holding steady in the 37 - 40 MPG range on my 2012 EGUC riding solo and not really getting on it. I'm suprised at your 50+ MPG riding 2 up. If that's truely what you're getting you're lucky. Not calling you a liar but damn that seems high. JMHO.
2 up riding on my ultra classic, 2008, fulsac duals, kerker mufflers, stage 1 intake, and SERT been seeing 47-49...
All this was on it when I got it few weeks ago. Girlfriend also has complained about extreme floorboard heat fromthe motor, I've reached back with my hand, and it was scorching hot... I'm guessing they just did a stage 1 flash with the SERT, which is really lean. Getting it dyno tuned Tuesday by tony at the boars house.
I expect the milage to go down to 35-40, and hoping the extreme engine heat goes away. It's so hot she won't ride till its fixed.
I did the numbers several times because I too could not believe it. Even had one of the Wingers do the math for me and he came up with the same thing. Bike is all stock except for slip on exhaust. Beleive what you want. Next trip I will check it again and take pictures of all the figures if anyone doubts me.
