I have a crossbones ...denim black...just dawn hot & water...will get off the sap... use windex for regular cleaning... this is recomended by HD & works great... I have been using the windex & dawn & water since 08..not a issue....

I'm sorry, but anyone who'd recommend taking a straight razor to a bike's painted surfaces obviously has been hitting the go-go juice a bit early + too much...
I own a professional detail company here in NH.. Been using a product called "Goof off" for years to remove sap. You can buy it at Home Depot! Lite amount on a micro cloth will take it right off without scratching. Then wash with soap and water.

Good suggestion. That or 3M adhesive cleaner (more or less the same thing - except the 3M adhesive remover is cheaper if you need quantity).
