Default Harley LED headlight

Has anyone installed the Harley LED headlight? The one that costs 524.00 bucks! I was wondering if you can tell any difference in hte light output or not and if you think it was worth the money?

The HD head light makes a big difference from stock, but you can get the Truck-Lite CRO (Complex Reflector Optics) LED, half the money and just as bright. http://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wcs...Name=/home.jsp
and here's a comparison to the older style Truck-Lite http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-new/tr...ht-test-review

I installed the LED headlight and spotlights from HD. Light output is much better than stock lighting. The HID lights from motorcyclemetal.com

http://www.motorcyclemetal.com/gpage12.html

are even better than the HD LED's and will be about the best lighting you can get. I had a hard time finding room under the fairing for the ballast after I upgraded the radio and put 4 ch amp under the fairing so I took the HID light out and put the LED's in.

Worth it to me, been on too many FM roads (Farm/Market) with unposted sharp turns right after comming off a hill or something. That and critters in the ditches. HD 73390-10A was around 430.00 from newcastle when I bought mine.

1. Yes, I installed mine at home. Easy swap.
2. Yes, I can tell the difference in light output - it is SUBSTANTIALLY better.
3. I expect to install the TruckLight Road Lights in the next few months.

There is a prior thread about the lights you should consider:

Good luck!

Comprehensive shoot out, HD vs TL

http://bogiesreviews.webs.com/Review...ng%20Lamps.pdf

To my eye the HD beam pattern looks more useable/precise- to my wallet...I'l wait until the prices come down.
Essentially a repackaging of $50 of parts.

Get one or the other, they are both a major improvement.

Bought-em, installed-em, noticed a huge difference, and it was worth it to me.

This video pretty much says it all.
