Installed RCX-Haust 4" Slash-Downs on my 2011 Road King Yesterday
Rode over to Wildcat Harley yesterday for the dealership's 3rd Anniversary celebration and found the RC Components factory reps were there with a truckload of new slip-ons...and the dealership was running a special on pricing ($50 off regular prices). I bought the 4" slash-down slip-ons and had them installed while I waited. Love the sound of these pipes..deep rumble at idle without being TFL...pretty good bark when ya get on it a bit and they mellow out at cruising speeds with just enough lows that they fit my ideal "Harley sound".
Only have @ 100 miles on the pipes so far...but I dig what I'm hearing
I'm not sure there are any other advantages (improved low-end torque etc) other than sound at this point...but, I'm very satisfied with the purchase. The RCX-Haust slips-ons look great and appear to be very well made!
Man, wish I coulda been there! We were passing thru on July 3rd and stopped. I'm really looking at those RC pipes too. Sound good. Are the slash downs a new tip? Or is it the muffler w/o a tip and slashed down? I've wanted the slash up but they didn't offer it afaik. Gonna go with Rival chrome i think. Did you change a/c or header pipe too? Thanks for info, and congrats!

Hey Jerry,
The slash cut slip-ons do have billet end caps that can be bought. And yes, they have both slash up/down types. Didn't change anything else...just replaced the sewing machine sounding stock mufflers.
Thanks for the info, Greg! They don't show these tips on the website so they must be brand new. I'll have to call them and see what's new. Thanks for the info. I'll check it out for sure. I would have got the other tips if you wouldn't have mentioned what you got, Thanks!
