Started using one about 8 years ago on the BMW i had and made sure I got one on the Ultra when I traded. I wouldn't ride to to far without one.

Had a seat with a backrest for 4 years and never, ever used the backrest. Put it on for a three week trip, and figured it would come off and go right back in the garage cabnet after the trip. LOL!! Have seldom rode without one sence!

Part #: 456306 Mustang Smooth One-Piece Ultra Touring Seat, Stock Harley Rider backrest works perfect with it on my 09 FLHT.

I hate to say this but I hate mine.

EVO Road King with a Mustang 1 pc (two-up) seat. Bought a Mustang backrest and can't stand it. Pushes me too far forward in the seat even with the adjustment all the way back. I've resorted to bending the seat tang that goes into the bracket and it hasn't helped enough. I've also adjusted the angle of the bracket where it mounts to the rear fender.

After riding for about 15 minutes my feet go asleep and my back hurts. I think the backrest still needs to go back another couple of inches. I can tell a huge difference in comfort when I take it off. Wish I would have never bought it.

Wouldn't ride without one. Mama doesn't like when we're riding two up, but she knows I need it.

I have the HD adjustable backrest and it works great with both the stock seat and the Sundowner. The adjustable one is so friggin cool, you can adjust it on the fly and change angles to anything you want.

Is it for sale? Will it bolt up to my ultra? Got a part number? :-)
