Clutch Cable Broke - Road Fix
July 4 2012 my clutch cable only 8,000 miles new came apart.
Towed home 50 miles -PIA
I found this today thought I share, I will have have one in my tool kit

in the same situation ( break at the lever), the cable sheath can be parted at the adjuster.
pull the top end of the cable out and tie it around a screwdriver handle, box wrench or a stick.
pulling with your left hand will get you home... maybe not in stop and go city traffic ( in which case you find a diner and wait for the roads to clear).
