Oil from rear shock

Default Oil from rear shock
Noticed oil under left rear shock. Seems to be dripping out bottom. What are my options.

My right rear started leaking but I still had a little warranty left so it was replaced by the dealer. I only had about 10K miles when it started leaking.

Don't waste any time on them, put them in the bin. Either replace as Joe suggests or upgrade to some decent quality shocks. Plenty about them in here!

Yep, replace. Low mileage and you may get away with one. If you go for both research alternatives other then HD.

2012 RKC three months old with 3500 miles. Notice left rear shock is leaking oil onto the exhaust then to the floor. Just got off phone with dealer an they said bring it in and we will need about half an hour to replace the shock, no problem, no questions asked, item fully covered by warranty.

Curious if it is a common problem? Two up is only about 350# of combined weight. Bike has been flawless outherwise.

Default Leaking rear shock
My left rear shock leaked last year on my 2010 Limited. It was still under factory warranty, so no problem...they replaced it.

before you cast off the shocks.....make sure it's the shocks that are leaking.....could be a leak from as far forward as your intake or in the rear such as an inner primary.

08, Ultra-Classic, right-rear, was leaking at 15,000 miles, found a pull-off, at service shop, so-far, it's working! Would love to have some new up-grade shocks, think oem's are Showa or something like that. Progressive would probably be my choice.

Installed progressive 940s last week, still trying to get correct adjustment. I have noticed 2up riding so much better. Also put 10wt in front shocks I like.
