Leather jacket
I have to say the guys at fox creek were good to work with, but i have a long body also and the FC guys didnt have anything that would help. I ended up with a HD classic and I truly love that jacket! fits well and made even better. yes its more money but if the fit and quality is there I dont mind spending the money. Oh and by the way most riding jackets will feel a little, just a little short because they are cut for you sitting on the bike with out bunching up, the sleeves are more important to a good fit last thing you want is the sleeve hitting you high on the wrist and allowing wind to travel up and ballon the body of the jacket, all you will end up with is uncomfertable and cold.
FXRG....purchased awhile back before I heard of Fox Creek. Great jacket, holds up well. If I knew about Fox Creek back then, I would have given them a try. However, I did buy Fox Creek gloves and they are super!
I had the same dilemma - used to ride dual sports and had an Aerostitch, but since I'm riding the King, it had to be leather. Wanted something that made me feel at least that safe.
I'm tough to fit - 6'8" - and the FXRG XLTall fits perfect. Got it from St. Paul HD on eBay and saved well over $100. I won it, paid for it, and swear that they shipped it to me in like ONE DAY.
Agree - if I'd had the opportunity to buy domestic and still get a quality jacket that fit, I'd do it. I tried on a buddy's FXRG, felt the quality (weight) and have no regrets. It's top shelf IMHO.
YMMV,

FXRG, I havethe 3/4 length jacket, not the leather one. I prefer it over the leather because it's lighter and holds up very well in the rain. It also looks pretty sharp.Had it for a fewyear, fit's me well (I'm 6'4') and keeps me warm. Couple of friends of mine have tried my jacket on and went out and bought one. The one I bought Harley doesn't sell anymore, it was just 1 season.
Dennis Kirk has Leather Jackets on sale for $25. I know you get what you pay for BLAH BLAH BLAH. But for $25 you can wear it to take out the trash and leave it hanging in the garage for those quick test rides after mods?
Another recomendation for Fox Creek Leathers here. I was looking at the Vanson CHP. Rode to their factory in Mass. and tried on a couple from their rack. Good quality, but the fit was just a little short in the body for me. I heard about Fox Creek on this forum, so I gave them a call. Within three days I had one of their Classic Motorcycle Jackets in 48 long. Excellent quality jacket and great customer service at a reasonable price.
