Default Cracked Y pipe

The Y pipe on my 08 ultra cracked. What are people doing to fix this are they putting oem parts back on or stepping up to dual exhaust? I have oval vance and hines slip-ons.

I welded mine which gave ne time to find the exhaust system that I wanted to try next.

The weld broke just as the new pipes arrived. ( Don't run the bike with the Y pipe cracked or you may be replacing a head after the exhaust valve hangs up.)

I have my stock header pipes from my 08...should be the same for your bike. If you need a new Y pipe you can have mines cheap.

Now is your chance to get rid of that old header and upgrade to V&H true duals. You will be amazed at how much better you bike will sound....and look!! Do it!

And though I run a 2 into 1 now, the true duals make it super easy to keep the rear of the motor and the tranny top clean too!

also you will want to look at the front motor mount, a lot of times when the y-pipe splits it because the front mount is broke and puts stress on the y-pipe, I welded mine 2 years ago and last year it split at the weld, one of the mech, at the dealer looked at it and showed me the broke mount

Have a local weld shop TIG it up for you.

Been doing some looking and am think of the Fullsac true duals.

Need to talk to a couple of friends to see if they have anything laying around.

I was questioning if a weld would hold? I will defiantly will look at the motor mount.

I'll keep you in mind sweetglide if I go that route.
