Hey guys/gals I ride with my wife 90% of the time and she is complaining about the bumps, sometimes they hit pretty hard. and it is kinda stiff with more air in the shocks.. I am wanting to lower the bike an inch and I want to make it ride alot softer/smoother. which is the best way to go? thanks
mike
you take the suspension out it wont help. bump up the air and then remove a little at a time till your dialed in. you also can go to the cvo shocks. i here their nice and keep you stock.
How much air are you putting in the shocks? I've found that putting in 45 - 48 pounds with 2-up seems to ride the best. The SG is already lowered an inch, lowering it more would be counter-productive as far as ride is concerned.
45+ lbs?! Wow!
I dont run half that. Less than 10 solo, usually about 5-7 around town and no more than 20 when I'm two up,if I have alot of gear stuffed.

09 and up frames are different and so are the shocks they take more air. what year bike do you have? i run 40 in my ultra all the time.
I have thought about putting a set of Electraglide shocks on mine and then use a 1" lowering kit to get the ride height back down but haven't tried it yet.
