Graham, please PM me as well with your suggested stabilizer as well as any rear suspension suggestions you have. I am about to pull the trigger on a pair of 944 Progressives.

Great explanation. Thanks. Any experience with different brands of stabilizers on the older bikes?

You guys......he comes out and says it several times here in this thread....TRUE-TRACK is the one he most recommends here. If you act quick, there's a group buy happening that you can get excellent pricing on it, but I believe it ends on the 31st. Look for the thread and jump on board!!!

Sorry Graham.....just tryin' to save you some time on replies buddy!!

Thank you Sir for your original and subsequent posts!

Currently have a 2011 Fat Boy Lo. I recently took a 2009 SG out for a ride-the person handing me the bike asked me if I ever rode a HD Touring bike beofre-I stated no.

"Don't get agressive in a turn, she doesn't have a stabilizer..she might wobble"
I was like ...WTF over? But I felt it 30 minutes later-damned near had me white-knuckled-at 45mph in a long sweeping exit turn.

If I pull the trigger on a SG-your post(s) will seriously determine what mods I perform first.

Can't thank you enough.
Much Respect!

I own a 2011 FLHTK and had never experienced or heard of the infamous Harley wobble until today. I was looking at Utube videos and that's where I saw it. I started to research what this was all about and found some info, but this thread is by far the most informative. I'm working one of those stabiliers into my budget. I don't think I want to experience the "thrill" of this happening taking a turn with my honey on board. Is a case like a search warrant......"better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it"........

How is it possible that Harley can get away with not recalling our units to correct this Issue? If It has been verified, as suggested in the OP, and this design flaw can cause death or serious bodily Injury, why is the NTSB silent on this Issue?

IMO Harley can be held accountable,If a design flaw in their product is not corrected. Is anyone aware of pending litigation or settlements in reference to this. Has Harley acknowledged a flaw in their design?

While I have never experienced this wobble, I am horrified to think the next turn coming up could end my life due to a design flaw.
