When I bought the RideStr8 stabilizer I believe there were only three stabilizers to choose from--TT, RideStr8, and Alloy Art. AA was a weird and IMO over-engineered design, and I assume RideStr8 didn't apply for a patent since others followed using their design (e.g., TWR and Progressive Touring Link). I did quite a bit of research on stabilizers back in 2007 prior to buying and decided on the RideStr8 mainly because of the right-side clearance issues with the TT, which owners were complaining about at the time, and the fact that it fills the dog bone in the frame that I need for using my pendulum jack. I also worried about the long bolts on the TT and the fact that the stabilizer action was constantly pulling on them, which worried me that perhaps the threads in the oil pan might wear abnormally. What's more, since the pan was covered by the TT box I wondered if it might trap heat. I never heard a complaint about the latter two, however, so I guess neither were ever an issue.

If I had to buy one today my preference would be the Progressive Touring Link because it uses the same design as the RideStr8 and is only $200 (last time I looked). I don't think RideStr8 is still in existence.

So for the benefit of those of you who do not do cryptic crosswords and have not yet solved the clues given to date, allow me to remove all doubts and say the product I use and recommend is True-Track.

I would also like to assure you all that I have no links with True-Track, except as a happy customer and that I have owned and used their products, on both Touring and Dyna bikes, since before they became sponsors of HDF.

Here it is....... no need for a PM......

I've never experienced wobble on my street glide or geezer glide. Both take curves well and handle predictably.

And your point is?? I did read a number of posts, did appreciate all the POV's, and suspected that the True Track was the preferred solution. Merely asking Graham for any additional insight if he cared to share.

Guess I should have PM'd him, so you would not have to have been held up for 3 seconds by getting thru my post. Sorry for your inconvenience......

Oh, have a nice day.
