Default Pipe differences in stock headers????

I bought a header pipe from a guy on here and decatted it. Only problem is now that I have the bike in pieces, there's a difference in the pipes. The header pipe I decatted does not have a place for the crossover pipe to connect just one outlet? Does it make a difference if I have a 103 or 96 engine? What am I missing here?

Sounds like you have a 2 into one pipe.

Search exhausts specifically 2 into 1 in regards to performance etc....I understood unless you've got a built motor the diff is undetectable? Let us know by posting in an already established exhaust post...its going to make a diff to someone someday and that continues the circle of knowledge.......

Mine off my 2011 street glide has a 2 into 2 but I thought all touring were the same 2010 and up. It has o2 ports in right place. But is 2 into 1. What bike would that be off of?

2010 sg had a 2-1 stock all the rest are 2-1-2.one performance upgrade most don't mention(seems only dyno #'s get any attention) is the weight savings less weight go faster.

You can pick up a stock 2/1 muffler on ebay pretty cheap ~$35 shipped. 2/1 will give better performance and less weight is a plus as well as more lean angle on left turns. Win win win

so , the story is you got the one year only 2010 2/1 header.

take the time to ask questions and consider purchases.

when buying parts ( like swap meet) never tell what bike you have - or they say "oh, yeah it fits"- ask what it fits- or know your part numbers.

you could go 2/1 or sell it and start over.

so if i were to go to 2 into 1 I would only have one pipe on the r side? I like the look of the duals in the rear. I went ahead and just gutted my stock pipe. I guess I will be selling this 2 into 1 that I have already decatted.

you my friend scored the ...nevermind, they beat me to it...lol

i went 2-1 recently, i'll never go back to true duals...got all my torque back and then some!

then again, if i could find a good x-pipe then i see duals in my future...maybe the FullSac x-pipe on my next bike.

just my .02 based on experience.
