My 04 Road King with stage 1 and HQ-0034 cams gets about 46. I'm still waiting to get it dyno tuned.

I checked mine right before I dropped it off to the dealer for cams & a dyno tune. It was getting 34.75 mpg. I'll check it again when I get it back.

I have a 2000 Ultra with a 1550 Kit and a Stage I kit and a Baker DD6 Trans.
I usually get abut 40 MPG, perhaps a bit more if I ride on two lanes and stay below 70 MPH on the freeway.
Once passing 70 MPH, the MPG's drop rapidly.
Running at 80 MPH (about 3000 RPM's) my MPG goes down to about 33.

Any chance there's a dynojet kit in that carb?

Guess I ride too fast because I stay in the 30's with my 2012 Ultra and have on all my earlier big twins. 70 mph and up on the expressway. But if I wanted good mileage I would have bought a Toyota.

Yes, this is normal for a carb bike for going in city traffic... I have a carb on my 99 Ultra and see consistently 34-36mpg around town. Yes I get better mileage on the highway "if" I stay under 70 on the turnpike headed with the wind (40+). I never stay under 70.....

It all depends on how hard you hit it with you right wrist....

My 2002 softail with a carbed TC 88 gets low to mid 40's, my new Ultra will get 40. 34 seems a bt low to me. Is it jetted correctly? Does it run well?
