Default Need some suggestions on how to install lights for my License Plate

Ok now that I converted over from tour pack to no tour pack I need to figure out a way to light up my license plate. When I was debating on weather or not to lose the tour pack I mounted my tag to the left saddlebag rail for a quick fix. Now I have decided I really like it there.Someone suggested getting the tag bolts that light up. I do a lot of my own work but I'm not good when it comes to electrical. Is there an easy way for me to hook these lights up? I'm really open for any suggestions. I will try and post a picture I took today with my new C&C seat and you should be able to see my tag location.I have to tell you since I removed the tour pack it feels like a whole different bike.I feel like I found my long lost friend. Thanks for your comments.

I put on a plate frame from Custom Dynamics on my Springer that has LEDs built into the top. They're so thin, it looks like a regular frame.

As for wiring, I connected it to my stock license plate wires. There are only two wires, hot and ground. Worst case, you pop a fuse.

Just make sure you wire it to a switched source, otherwise your license plate lights will stay on, even with the ignition off.

plate bolts are pretty easy.

no matter what you do, you will be wiring, so go with what you like the looks of best.

then wire up to the run light, either at the rear taillight electrical block, or you can tap into the ACC plug under the seat which has terminals for:

run
stop
acc
and ground

I use a RK signal bar with plate light, wired up easy- like it was made to.

The tag bolts are a good option if you like the plate where it is. Just drill out the bar you have it zip tied to now and use quick disconnect connections tucked below the antenna mount for ease of removal. Zip tie the connections up the saddle bag mount to keep them concealed and you are good to go. Clean and legal.

Another option is a led light bar that is 3M taped to the top bar or the plate itself with a shield/black paint on the top of the led strip to direct the light to the plate to ensure it is illuminated. Harley sells these small (1" long) light strips through their fitment section at my local 3 Harley dealerships.

If you want to put the license plate directly below the brake light, the kury kit, road king light bar or a 08 SG turn signal bar will work as well.
