Default Engine cutting out

My 2005 Road King Classic has recently developed a problem .While cruising engine cuts out for a brief moment then runs fine. This initially happened on a long run ,did it once and not again for couple of runs later. Yesterday it did it 3 different times than was fine for about a half hour than died completely Started right back up and was fine for the rest of the day. No codes, checked all obvious connections. Not sure if its fuel or electrical .Any ideas?

fuel might tend to "stutter"

electrical can go right off/on.

sometimes the ignition switch contacts can burn out esp if high watt headlight bulb is used.

in dark garage or at night- with bike off- turn on ignition and wiggle the switch looking for the lights to go off.

if it is ok

try same again, bounce and kick, shake the bike, looking for any interuption in power to lights etc.

I once had a battery cable wear through which shorted on a bump, causing the bike to momentarily cut out.

bouncing it helped locate the $12 fix.

Mine did that 3 or 4 times when it was newer. Like missing 1 power stroke. Then run normally for days or weeks. Finally quit doing it. Musta accidentally fixed it doing normal maintenance like cleaning and tightening battery cables, changing fuel filter, etc, or it fixed itself. Hasn't done it in a couple of years or so.

Also pull and clean fuses, apply dielectric grease ! And give your ignition switch a shot of Jack Daniels....the alcohol cleans it and leaves a protective coating.

It's a bad circuit breaker,
not uncommon with that bike.
