i put Pioneer TS-A1684R 6.5" up in the fairing & Pioneer TS-A6994R 6x9's in the bags. i can quick disconnect them but i want to put a small plug on them. i was trying to find a small trailer light plug but the only ones i could find at wally world were 4 plug ones.

Sounds good!
I have the hogtunes tweeter pod on mine as well - The amount of clarity it adds to the sound is astounding!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...........those Pioneers historically fail under these conditions.

The problem with them is: the plastic bracket that holds those 4 little speakers is kind of heavy, and after miles of shaking/ bumps/ etc,...........they break off.

Had the same thing happen with the Pioneer 6902 . I just snapped off the tweeter, and kept going. These 6 X 9's are mainly for bass anyways.

I've had to replace 2 of mine so far.

I guess most of these 6 X 9's get mounted horizontal where they wouldn't have the weight of the tweeter pulling all the time.

That being said,.........a 2 way speaker usually works better in the saddlebag, since you are only looking for it to produce lows.

If the bass wasn't the best I've heard on the 6902's, ( and the price wasn't so cheap ), I'd look for another option.

Maybe you'll have better luck !! I sure hope so !

mine arent hooked up right now, i unhooked them the other day when i ran mine Pioneers up in the fairing. but i am thinking about changing my 6.5's out already to a set made by American Bass. a friend of mine owns a speaker shop & i was down there yesterday when he got a few of them in. he hooked up this 10" mid range just to a radio with no amp & this thing was killer. the sounds pumping out of it was crystal clear & could be heard from a great distance. i told him to order me 4 of the 6.5's. 2 of them for the bike & the other 2 are gonna go into the doors of my Vette.

if you get a chance check them out, i think you would be pleased with the sound quality, & NO i am not getting a kickback from the sale of any...lol

well i had both sets of speakers recommended to me by a friend who owns his own audio shop, so we'll see what happens. as far as pricing they were pretty cheap, i got them off of amazon. but thanks for the heads up, i'll run them for a couple of weeks then pull them out & check them.
