Huh? What does that mean? 25mm (.984") compared to 1.00" is only .016" difference. Bearing design cant be much different....
But they are! However unless I'm mistaken recent Harley wheels will take 3/4", 1" or 25mm bearings. I have just converted a Deuce wheel from 3/4" to 1". It seems they all have the same external diameter, so are interchangeable. The only snag I found with my Deuce wheel is that the hole through the centre had to be bored out bigger.
New to baggers, I know that they went to an 18" front wheel from16" in '10 but is anything different other than that? Will the wheels off of a '10-'12 Street Glide work on an '07 Street Glide?
Thanks so much in advance for as rapid of responses as possible!!!!
The front & rear wheels can be fitted. It is a bit of a project but worthwhile in my opinion. You can improve your gearing, gain a cush drive and get a 180mm tire on the back, as well as improve the handling substantially. It was a winter project for me.
do a search - others have done that before only to have the bearings fail - the 18' wheel does not support the 1" bearing
Search for what? Measuer the inside diameter of the wheels and outside diameter of the 1 inch and 25mm bearings. The only difference is the inside where the axle rides. I have oer 1500 miles on them since the swap so I will let you know if it fails.
