Starting Problem
I have experienced a weird problem on my 2008 Ultra Classic. The bike starts with no problem when I start out and later when I stop and try to restart, nothing. After switching the ignition on and off a few times it starts fine. I suspected the FOB but I have replaced batteries in both my FOBs and they both experience the same glitch. Today I stopped a couple of times and everything was fine. The only difference today was the weather was cooler and I'm wondering if perhaps heat was the culprit. This problem does not occur every time I go out and being an intermttent problem it has me stumped.
Any suggestions?

virtually every vehicle has a hard time starting hot due to electrical resistance is higher in the cables, starter motor windings etc. when hot.
cold starts, everything is cool and the electricity better does the work.
( "cold" in a temperate sense, not -10º)
this will show more if your battery is weak or the cable connections are cruddy.
pull your battery and have it load tested to ensure that it is holding and supplying full current ( amps).
and when you re-install or install a new one, make sure that the battery cable connections are clean and tight---at both ends.
...if the fob were the problem, your alarm would be going off....
