I did the Mean City upgrade on my 2010 SG stock seat. It was okay for the driver but just the shape of the stock seat made it uncomfortable for my wife on the back. I went with the Sundowner seat and I plan to have Astech do their gel/memory foam upgrade at Sturgis.

Take it to your local upholster and tell them what you want, probably a lot cheaper.
Or take an electric knife to it and shave it down how you'd like it and staple er' back up.
Can't be that difficult..

When you guys say to shave it with an electric knife, How do you get to the foam to shave it without messing the whole thing up. I figure you undo the staples and remove the leather, but I have NEVER been into any upolstrery ever and I am worried about messing it up. Knowing my luck, the leather would have waves and wrinkles in it by the time I as done....

drew a grid on foam with a magic marker to judge where i shaved and how much. i sat on seat first with cover removed and my awesome wife traced area i that needed attention=in my case the sides to narrow stance and top to lower. i am no pro but its not too difficult. you will want a small aerosol high tack to adhere cover when done

If your wife likes the S.G. seat she qualifies for the iron butt award. There is virtually no padding back there. Keep her, you got a good one!
