I was thinking that I would like to modify my stock SG seat. My wife and I both like the stock seat, especially the looks that it provides. My problem is that it is a little to bulky in the crotch area. This causes me to not be able to fully plant both feet on the ground. I feel that if the padding was "shaved" a little that I would not have a problem, and I would not think that it would make the seat any less comfortable.
My question is: Has anybody experienced the same problem? Have you had your seat modified? Did you do it or have someone do it? Were you happy with the results? Pictures of modified seat?
Google or search Mean City. {something like that} If you want the best seat on the market and your wife will never be happier, ck out The Ultimate, none better.
i've got a 2012 road king seat off a custom.. the one with the three silver or chrome buttons on the side.. it set me way low and back... the other half really liked the comfort but i didn't care for sitting that low.. i liked the old sg seat from 2010.. was just trying to get something a little better for the passenger.
interested? 75 plus shipping and it's yours.. it fit fine just the front of the seat was a little lower on the tank panel than the stock seat.. that is the what made it much lower.. almost felt like i was dragging my knees.
really set me low.. much lower and felt narrower.. could be the thing for you. i don't have a photo of it but i can get one when i get home.

Thanks for the offer, but we really like the look of this seat, just thinking about getting the bulk out of the crotch area.

Thanks for this!! This looks like it could be the ticket for me - also they are only about a 2 hour drive so I just might head their direction.
Mean city cycles in maiden n.c. if you that close to them, make an appointment with them, ride there and they will fit to you will you wait. One of the best mods I have ever had done period..
I sent you a message on this seat, let me know if it's still available.
