Auto Tuner Reveiw needed
Did it make a noticeable difference?
Does it seem to work accurately? Is it really any better than just a map?
What are the pros / cons?
I did a search for a similar thread, but I couldn't find anything.
It adjust to any engine mods you make (might have to install a different base map depending on what you do), it adjusts to weather conditions, elevations, etc. I rode on an 8500 mile trip last year and it did great.
It gives you the ability to adjust timing, AFR's, etc.
I have noticed a cooler engine, better fuel mileage, no more decel popping (had the HD SERT before and always had decel popping even after 2-3 dynes), no need to dyno to tune it will do it for you, etc.
Does it work accurately - you set the AFR and it tunes to it - yes.
I can set AFR by cylinder and by gear and timing by cylinder.
I can make maps for power and mileage.
I don't have to get a Dyno when I makes mods, even cams.
Con - none really - it is just like every other part on your bike that runs a risk of taking a turn south.
Pros - IMO it was THE best $ invested. It saves me $ in the long run.
