Went week early to sight see not party, but had a great time, got cut short day head of time due to thunderstorms, but for you guy's going out Sat thru next week posed to have great weather so enjoy your trip and have a great time...
I went last year a week early. Still crowded but we stayed in Deadwood. Rained on us while we went through Custer Park and again the next day for a couple of hours but we all still had a good time. All the vendors were there and also set up at Rapid City Harley.
I'm so bummed out. Was supposed to arrive today (Been planning since last year) and lo and behold my daughter has her college commencement tomorrow. Tough choice for me but the Wifey convinced me to do the right thing.

I was in Sturgis area July 16th - 21st. Crowds were minimal. Prices were already somewhat inflated. Venders were partially setup, but I didn't really care about that.
