I owned a 79 Ironhed for many years. My wife and I rode the hell out of it and loved every minute of it! It rode so rough, if you ran over an ant..you felt it! But that was my favorite bike. I finally moved up to a big twin but still miss that bike. Nothing at all wrong with a Sporty. But like everyone else said...If it fits your needs...ride it proudly!

Yes a bigger bike is better but if you like riding a sportster then who cares what anyone else says.

As long as you enjoy your bike it doesnt matter which one it is. I do think some people automatically work themselves up to larger bikes. But hey if I liked the one I was on I keep riding it.

Be careful with that test ride. It might cost you alot of money. Mine did. I loved my Sportster but I love my Road King more. Sportsters are great bikes. I rode mine all over hell. If you are satisfied with your bike why shop (says the guy who did that very thing)?
