Default Still having front end issues...You there Dawg?

I have been fighting a shimmy in the front end of my bike since the day I bought it. The dealer has: checked fall away, checked wheel run out and check for true, balanced the tire and replaced the tire under warranty. The dealer agrees there is an issue but have given up trying to fix it. The shimmy is there across the board but between 40 and 45 but it is pretty strong...Any ideas from the forum experts???

The dealer needs to call in the factory rep or time for a lemon law replacement.

Has the rear tire been checked for balance? Shimmys can travel. Good luck as this must be incredibly frustrating

How about trying a different wheel? Maybe a cast one?

I haven't messed with the rear but the thought did cross my mind. If they don't fix it this time, I am going looking for a set of 28 spoke chrome wheels...

Don't know how much patience you have but if they can't fix it, they should replace it That one should go back to the factory to find out what went wrong. Shouldn't be your problem. You paid for a machine which should perform as the engineers intended, and they didn't intend to design in a shimmy between 40 and 45 mph. Start agitating for a full replacement and I'll bet they get it figured out.

I wouldn't do any work to the bike myself cuz if you do you might have just bought the problem.

When you say they checked for true, did they check the wheel itself with the tire off of the wheel? Did they check the spokes as well? There's a service bulletin out about spoke issues on the new bikes. An easy check you yourself could do is throw a bud's entire wheel (a known good wheel) on your bike and ride it and see.

I don't think they checked it with the tire off. I guess I could grab the wheel off my brothers RK and see if it fixes it...
