Try hitting one of them. I got lucky last May and caught two. One between the eyes and one over my right eye. Both on I65 in Tenn at 70mph. Not only do they hurt but make a big damn mess on your face.

first time i ever saw or heard of for that matter one of the cicada bugs ,was in vegas..was hangin out at my bro in laws pool and could not believe the size and racket they can produce...fuggin big bug for sure!!

Hitting a cicada Im sure is bad but have a cicada killer go up your sleeve and start stinging and trust me you can't get the bike stopped and your shirt off fast enough! These giant hornets and thick here in Illinois this year, they are every bit as big if not bigger than the cicada!
