Holly crap. The lrs shields is this fragile? I had no idea. This gives no protection to the rider if something is to hit the shield while riding. I probably wouldn't of bought one If I knew this.
Before i bought mine i pm'd LRS 3 times over a few days with no response. A few weeks later and still no response. I called them directly and ordered a shield anyway. Came in 3 days or so. Bought the 7" Ultra Recurve. Dont really know why they never responded to my pm's though..........

They took care of my cracked windshield that i screwed up by using locktite on the screws and over tightened. It was totally my fault and the shipped me a new wind shield no cost. That is a stand up company!!!!!! Not saying that is what caused your problem but that is what caused mine. Dont over tighten the screws and don't use locktite.
I found That using a little bit of silicone keeps those windshield screws snug and won't loosen.

Three months ago back in May I purchased the LRS 9" light tint Ultra for my 08 E.G. classic, I really like the way it performed, might have gotten a few scratches in it while cleaning it a few times, no big deal, but yesterday I took it off to clean between it and my windshield T-Bags, done this a few other times with no problem, but yesterday when I took it off I noticed stress cracks around the mount where the left screw goes in, and when I went to re-install it the whole tab where the left screw goes in finished cracking and broke off, so for now my stock windshield is back on until I decide what's next, but I guess I'm lucky I got about 3 months use out of it.
My first LRS shield developed a stress crack shortly after I installed it. LRS immediately sent out a replacement at no cost, great service. After looking at that video I'm wondering if maybe I should switch shields. One thing for sure, I would never wear anything but polycarbonate glasses, fer sure!
I thought I read somewhere that LRS was coming out with polycarbonate shields. If so, I will upgrade. While I like my 9" recurve, I would prefer the more substantial polycarbonate.

I have no cracks (yet) w/my LRS. Overall, I'm fairly happy with it.
The recurve DOES work.
My concern is I bought the clear, but it's almost like a light haze looking thru it. The stk Harley shield is clear like looking thru glass. I've used mild cleaners on it. Carefull which cloth you use. The LRS will scratch.
