radio troubles
and i have got a problem with the rear speakers not working.
I had removed the tour pac and cb dash controls for a short while and thought i had a great idea when i cut the harnesses for the tour pac and soldered connectors in to make it easily removal. Bad bad terrible idea after i did this nothing worked so i removed the connectors and resoldered everything back just like it was and now my rear speakers dont work. Is there anyway i can just splice off the fronts to have them work. .I am not so inclinded to have the cb working again. Also there is a fuse panel under the leaft side cover that has 3 fuses and the pod fuse is
blown and blows the radio fuse under the fairing when replaced.
any ideas from the great all knowing electrical gurus here.
thanks
you should leave it off and go through all your "repair" work again.
Soldered connections on bikes tend to break right where the tinning ends at the insulation- it's the vibrations- the stiff tinned strands work back and forth and snap
IF you shorted the speaker leads then you may have blown the power amp(s) for the rear.
Radio Sound is the manufacturer for that radio if the amp is blown.
also do the simple stuff and check you speaker switches
