Hello all. Current scooter is a Heritage Softail Classic. Next bike is possibly a Street Glide.
Can you tell me how involved it is, or what the steps are to add a detachable backrest? I plan to take my young daughter for rides, and would feel much better with having a backrest, so im sure ill be adding one.
First a 4pt. mount for all QD stuff, then just snap it on and off, no tools needed. Even an 8 yr old like me can do it...........but you kinda look like a lazy F--- ?....lol
You will need either 2 or 4 point docking unit. If you ever plan on a 2up rack or tour pak in the future go with the 4. If you are sure you will only want a backrest, then the 2 point will be fine.
Next of course will be your choice of sissy bar, height, and color ( black or chrome). Then your choice of pad for the passenger. They come in many different sizes and stitching.
