My HK stereo is starting to have problems with the sound cutting out and I'm thinking about going with a aftermarket stereo.
Any suggestions on a head unit that won't break the bank?
Is there a way to still use the handle bar controls with the new head unit?
My HK keeps cutting out too. I hit the speaker button and it comes right back on. I was hoping a new speaker button would fix it. Or is my radio going to hell?
I'm 99% sure it's the radio, not the switch.
If you are out of warranty Iron Cross Audio can fix your radio.
They fixed mine on my last bike. Quick turn around. http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/
With mine the unit stays on but the speakers just quit and i have to turn it off and back on to get them to work again. so i think this might be a good time to upgrade.
with aftermarket stereos you have to have an install kit, i got mine at biketronics, hawg wired has them also, or any after market dealer, i got a kenwood unit, very happy with it
