I like the look of the rails as well. I'm considering a 2013 Limited and the rails will be the first mod if I go that route. Depends on if it is cheaper to get the Ultra, add the luggage rack,ABS, security and heated grips or if it is cheaper to go with the limited and add the bag rails.

So, to recap, the Limited has standard over the Classic:

ABS
Security Alarm
Chrome wheels
12V power point in Tour Pak
Heated grips
Tour Pak rack
Titanium gauges
Saddlebag and Tour Pak liners
Interesting, the liners come with all ultra's in Europe (or at least that is my understanding and experience)

I bought the FLHTK in 2010 and love it!

I think somebody mentioned in an earlier post that they did here in the states as well. I just never went back and edited my post.

Get the Limited and add the rails I believe it's a better way to go. Also better color choices with the Limited.

I went with the limited and added the Nostalgic rails instead. Does not cover up the two tone on he saddle bags as much.

The Limiteds come with "deluxe" liners instead of the "standard" liners in the Ultras - FWIW

I think the ABS is probably the most important of the upgrades. It's hard to say for sure but, I think it has already paid for itself with me. I was following a guy down the street the other day and he decides to slam on his brakes to make a left hand turn. He had to come to a complete stop to wait for oncoming traffic. This doesn't sound like a big deal and I wasn't following too close, but when someone makes a move like that at 50-55 mph, you close the distance pretty quickly. Suffice it to say, the ABS works!

Default Because I Could

I purchased a 2012 Limited because of the adders listed above, The gauges are nice and easy to read, the missing bag rails and fender trim makes it look like a CVO and I could afford it. Still have my '03 Classic with removable trunk to ride as a daily rider and the Limited is reserved for date night and out with other couples, Kinda like puttin on the tux and tails for the ol lady
