Well I am stumped , I have an 07 road king, it has the stock 96 with a stage 1 screaming eagle kit and tuner, Vance and Hines exhaust and that's all I think has been done to the engine. This bike is new to me in jan of this year , I have put couple thousand miles on it so far and I love it. Well the problem is a I took a trip up to a rally a few weeks ago and after about 100 miles in a 80 degree day the bike just kept stalling, there happen to be a dealer close so I took it there and they said they cold it do anything because I did not have the tuner with me. After a while of driving it stalled and then when I started it back up it revved up a little high then settled down and then it was back to normal , well after I got back from the trip I took it to the local dealer and they found nothing but a loose starter and they think that the loss of ground might have been causing the ECM to fault. Now after a few more weeks I took another little trip thus weekend and the same thing happened , after driving about an hour and then sitting in the sun for a few hours and then about an hour of riding again it stalled after exiting the freeway , after sitting for about 30 min I started it Nd it revved up and was back to normal again. I checked to see if it logged a code using the on board diagnostics but none were logged.
I am kind of lost and am not sure which way to go, take it back to the dealer and have it ran on the dyno again ? I did some looking at the forums and it might be the IAC sensor, or maybe the crank sensor.
