I bit the bullet and put HD LED headlight, passing lamps, and front and rear turn signals, along with the Bright *** Lights BAL-1 tail light on my '09 UC. got a 20% off coupon from my dealer and went for it. Since I went to day shift I am increasingly nervous about how little attention people pay while driving in the morning.
Worth every penny and then some. The head/passing lamps would easily kill vampires or melt a Prius, and the BAL backs tailgaters off right now.
Wait til you see how many moths and insects they attract at night. Sometimes hard to keep them clean enough to drive. Otherwise best thing since sliced bread.
Couldn't agree anymore! Like mentioned about the bugs, seems after every ride I am cleaning the windshield as well as the front lights/signals. I wouldn't take them off for anything though.
I have the LED headlamp on my SG. I think it's bright as hell and great in a straight line. Has anyone notice any issues with visiblity in a corner though? Seems like I have to flip the highbeam on to see further into the corner.
I got the Truck Lites 7 LED head and running lights on my UL. My second set of Truck Lites and I recommend them 100%. From discountfleetsupply.com. Great service and fast delivery.
Have to agree with everyone about the LED lights. I bought them on sale at 33% off but would have paid full price for the benefits. They do attract a lot of bugs but loved the way they lit up the road on the way back from Devils Tower to Sundance,Wy and showed me the deer getting ready to cross the road a 100 yards away on a very dark night.
