...... while the rake doesn't need modification, i understand that the triple tree does need modding to accommodate the wider wheel & fender. Perhaps as much as an inch of widening ?
......... i could see riding a rig like that a real long ways, & looking real good doing it !
He did mention that it raises about 3 inches when riding, and that he doesn't slam it to the ground when down, in case you lose air while you are riding. It would not be safe to be scraping the ground if you lost air while riding.
for the front - he just runs the tire backwards
with it air down it wont scrap frame - but the ride does become interesting. i did a 15 mile air down front and rear to test how it would ride if my front and rear failed... it was ride able - hands were getting numb but still able to get it to where id need if something did happen.
and as for the big wheel (26+) can tour... well here proof they can do it and do with out a trailer :P
