Just got back from my newfoundland trip (around 5900miles). Was able to knock off a saddlesore 1000 ride in (1090 miles in around 16 hours) the first day and about 980 on the way back. I cant even explain the hospitality of the people there, i though you southerns were the nicest people alive, these people put you to shame lol. Lots of wildlife, moose on every corner it seemed on the west side of the island, a few whales, puffins and some caribou.
Overall touring with a 26" (little under 10k on the setup now this year in 2 trips) i can attest i had no problems with big wheel on long trips, other then all the questions about the bike hehe. So fawk the big wheel haters lol :P
other then a dinged pipe from 2 tracking it to a spot and hitting a rock while turning, bike rain flawless. it's Dirty as hell now but nothing a bath cant fix.
Are you orig from NL?If not,did you get Screeched in?
from michigan whole life, no i didn't get screeched in - something i wanted to do, but never go around to asking where about to get it done. Sounds like a bunch of fun though, kissing a fish and all...
