Default 97 Royal Star

OK.....so i didnt have the money for a road king, but, i did make a good 5k investment on this 97 royal star.....its got 16,000 miles on it, and very well taken care of. It has a beautiful custom paint job, BUBS pipes, and hard bags. I have drag bars already also. I was wandering what are some mods i can do to this bike, b/c my last project (98 dyna sport w/ wideglide front end conversion) was alot easier... Id love to hear some input of some things to add to this bike to make it better.....Also, EVERYTHING is already chrome, so i think thats out the equation. Thnx 4 ur help guys...

PS. I know this pics are kinda dark, for it was nighttime. I will try and update some pics today if anyone cares to see them...

Justin

I would think you would get better replies to your question on a board that deals with your brand bike. Nice looking bike by the way. Don't think there will be very many replies on a harley board about your question You can do a google search and come up with many boards.

Justin,

Good luck on your new bike, it looks great.

I can't believe how inexpensive it was. I bet the paint job alone cost almost as much as you paid for the bike! I can't imagine landing a similar HD for anywhere near that price.

Try Road Bike magazine, there was a RS build that was really an awesome looking bike, don't remember the issue, but if I was doing the bike you have, that's what I would want it to look like, it was sharp and kinda of a silver/grey blue theme if I remember correctly.

Good luck

Nice looking bike! It was hard to tell from the pic's what exactly is on it. I would suggest maybe a chrome radiator cover and even highway bars to start with. You can find all kind of aftermarket parts for your Yammy at places like J.C. Whitney, Dennis Kirk, Cruiser Customizing, JP Cycles, Cajun Cycle Accessories, and Wing Things ( Yamaha Toyz ). Aftermarket parts manufacturers really like the Yamaha bikes as they make a lot more items for them than the others, with the exception of the Goldwings.

Not according to THIS site. Says it's liquid cooled. A quick Google search shows photos of the 97 with what appears to be radiators.

FWIW.
