I have a 2010 Ultra and mine does it on occasion. As someone posted earlier, it tries to start, fails, runs backward for a split second, and exhales out the intake. Really no big deal.

Had this happen too,bike did many strange things.Turned out to be starter button. Had hot motor primary chain slap too. Both have stopped since I replaced.
