Default Progressive Tour Link

I am considering buying the Progressive Tour Link suspension stabilizer for my '12 SG. I have a couple of questions, however:

Is there really any difference between it and the True Track which is twice the price?

Has anyone installed one of these stabilizers themselves, and if so, was it easy? I have read a couple of threads and I'm not sure if it requires removing the exhaust, etc.

And for anyone who has one installed, impressions?

Thanks in advance for any input!

I had one on my '07 and loved it. Just curious, why do you think you need one on a '12?

If you read several posts on here and see the research done, the new tourers have the same basic rearend/suspension issues that the older bikes have. The basic design of the suspension and engine mounting has not changed.

I installed on my 06 FLHT.
It should be similiar installing on a 2012.
I did have to loosen the exhaust (at head and support bracket) and move it to access one bolt. It was a pain in the a**.
There is no need to remove the exhaust.

Overall I think its just as good as any other stabilizer.

It seems to work well.

I have had both TruTrack and TouringLink on pre-2009 bikes, both Road Kings. The devices functioned the same was my seat-of-the-pants impression, i.e., both worked to limit the rear-steer.

Took a 250 mile ride today on my 2010 Ultra and it performed just great without the "Progressive Tour Link Suspension Stabilizer".

Just saying.

That's odd. I'd come to the opposite conclusion after doing a fair amount of digging of my own.
