Choosing Ape Hangers

I have a '03 Road King and want to install some 18" apes. I have found all kinds online, but wanted to get some info from some of yall. I am looking for the best company that sells the bars and kit to put them all in one. Also, I am looking at the 1 1/2" thick bars. Thanks for your help.

I got la chopper 16 inch...love em...there is an aftermarket plug n play wire kit from a company called namez I believe is their name....

carlini are awesome bars. comfy and look good to. spendy but worth it I think. Had em on my last softail and loved em.

Wild One 18" Psycho bars are an aggressive, well made bar. Check out their website. Carlini's are stylish (gangster, flying apes) but a bit more expensive with the curved bars. FYI, some of the Carlini's are roughly 1.5" higher than listed. SJ Ron

Well, the opinion of "best" is going to be in the eye of the beholder. In my opinion, I like the Carlini's and have a set of Gangsters, but they all have their good traits and bad traits. It's all what fits you and what you are comfortable with. Good luck with the search!!

WO 509's (16") on my 2012 RKC. Unbelievably comfortable...Much better than the Heritage 'Style' bars that these replaced. I'm 6'3" and these put my hands right at shoulder height. I might have gone with the Carlini Flying apes...If I had been able to afford them.
